Flamengo celebrates its 120th anniversary this Sunday (November 15.11th). As one of the world's largest multi-sport clubs, it's to be expected that it's recognized by people of various nationalities. And this impression is reinforced by players from Orlando City, the opponent in the friendly match taking place at the Maracanã this Sunday to celebrate the date.

Aurelien Collin, defender for the American club, stated that he knew parts of Flamengo's history.

"I've followed Brazilian football for many years, from afar. I know the characteristics of the league. I know some of Flamengo's star players, like Adriano, Zico...", stated the Frenchman.

"The Sheriff," as he is known by Orlando City fans, commented that the passion for soccer in Brazil is unique.

"I see that Brazil is the country where there is the most love for football. In any country in the world, when you see a Brazilian tourist, at least one person is wearing a club shirt. It's only in Brazil. It's the country of football," he said. For the defender, Sunday's friendly is festive, but it has a serious tone for the American team.

"We're here to play seriously. Tomorrow we face a very big club, one we admire, but on the pitch, none of that matters. We're going to play to win," he concluded.

Portuguese right-back Rafael Ramos also expressed his admiration for Flamengo's history and for the greatest player in the club's history.

"Flamengo has one of the biggest fan bases in the world. It's a very big club globally, with a lot of history. I know Zico, one of the best players ever. I've seen many people wearing Flamengo shirts on the streets since we arrived in Rio," he said.

Rafael stated that the Flamengo fans can make the difference in Sunday's match.

"I expect a full house tomorrow. It's going to be difficult for us. It's already difficult against a good team, and with the support Flamengo has from the fans, it's going to be a lot more complicated for us. But I like this atmosphere, I hope tomorrow will be a great atmosphere and a great game," he predicted.
