The 2025 season has kicked off! On Wednesday afternoon (8), Flamengo's main squad returned to CT George Helal to begin preseason training ahead of the numerous competitions they will face this year. The first major challenge will be the Supercopa do Brasil final against Botafogo on February 2 in Belém, Pará. Flamengo will also compete in the Campeonato Carioca, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Brasileiro, Libertadores, and the FIFA Club Super World Cup.

Before the players arrived at Ninho do Urubu, technical director José Boto gave a press conference and detailed the club's plans for the 2025 season. He also introduced two new faces who will be part of the football department: assistant coach Alfredo Almeida, and the new head of the medical department, Fernando Sassaki.

The athletes underwent medical examinations and clinical evaluations. Tomorrow (9), the team returns to the training center to begin training under the guidance of coach Filipe Luís and his coaching staff. The trip to Orlando, USA, is scheduled for Friday (10), after training.
