Porto Alegre (RS) - After returning to the Brazilian Championship routine with four games in two weeks following the World Cup, Flamengo will once again have time to work. This week, the Red-Black team only plays on Sunday (August 01.08st) against rival Vasco. Therefore, until then, they will have many days of intense training at Gávea. The schedule has already been released by the coaching staff and even includes activities in two shifts.

This Monday (26.07), the red-blacks were given a day off and will only return on Tuesday (27.07), at 15 pm. On Wednesday (28.07) and Thursday (29.07), the team will train full time, at 9 am and 15 pm. Friday (30.07) and Saturday (31.07), activities will only be in the afternoon again. A week that promises to be intense and that was celebrated by the players.

"We're going to have a good week to work. It's the time we have to sort things out and get into the game against Vasco in the best possible shape," said goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba.

Striker Diego Maurício agrees. Like Marcelo Lomba, he's eagerly anticipating his first professional appearance for Flamengo and Vasco. Already accustomed to the derby in the youth ranks, the player believes the match will be thrilling.

"Every Flamengo professional match is important, but of course, a derby is different. We'll work hard this week to get into this match in good shape. A win is crucial for us, and we'll do everything we can to get the result," Diego added.
