The red-black squad is ready to face Atlético-MG in the Brasileirão
The 29th round clash will be played this Saturday (30), at 19 pm, at Maracanã
By Romulo Paranhos - inEverything is ready for another decisive clash! On Friday afternoon (29), Flamengo finalized its preparations for the duel against Atlético-MG, which will be held tomorrow (30), at 19 pm, at Maracanã. The match is valid for the 29th round of the Brazilian Championship. If they win, the Mais Querido will reduce the gap to ten points over the Minas Gerais team. It is worth remembering that the Rubro-Negro has two games less than its opponent, until now occupying the leadership of the competition.
Coach Renato Gaúcho led a tactical training session and fine-tuned the final details for the big game. The Flamengo captain will be without players Diego Ribas and Filipe Luís, who experienced pain in the rectus femoris muscle of their right thigh and left calf, respectively. Tests confirmed the injuries, and both have already begun treatment at Ninho do Urubu.
Flamengo and Atlético-MG have faced each other 117 times, with the Gávea team having the advantage. Flamengo has won 46 matches, drawn 32, and lost 39. Interestingly, the teams haven't drawn in over four years (or eight matches). Their last draw was a 1-1 draw in the 2017 Brasileirão at Maracanã.
