Flamengo squad returns to training at Gávea.
The group holds its first activity of the new year and prepares for pre-season training in Londrina.

The year 2011 has begun for Flamengo. With some new faces, familiar ones, and the expectation of a season of achievements. And, of course, a good dose of hard work. The Flamengo players returned to Gávea this Monday morning (January 03.01rd) to begin pre-season training. The group consisted of 24 players, who will travel to Londrina later in the day. Some players are expected to join the squad during training.
After a talk in the locker room, the players went to the field, had a short meeting with the coaching staff, and performed physical work under the supervision of physical trainers Antônio Mello, Diogo Linhares, and Marcelo Martorelli, with laps around the field and exercises.
Among the main new additions to the squad, reinforcements Felipe and Vander wore the sacred jersey for the first time in training. Also noteworthy is the young midfielder João Vitor, promoted to the main team. Some players were unable to attend this first day of work. Diego Maurício and Galhardo are serving with the under-20 national team, Negueba is called up for the São Paulo Junior Cup, and Petkovic was released for the Orthodox Christmas in Serbia. Argentine Bottinelli, meanwhile, is resolving bureaucratic matters in his country and will report to Paraná on Tuesday morning (January 04.01th).
After this first activity, the group goes to a hotel, has lunch, and returns to Gávea for another training session in the afternoon. In the evening, the Flamengo players travel to Londrina, where they will hold their pre-season training until January 17th at the SM Sports training center.
