Mais Querido has scored 33 goals this season; 12 of them were in the last three games alone.

With three free kick goals scored by three different players in the last three games, the Mais Querido has impressive numbers in 2017. Against Portuguesa, this Saturday (11), Mengão reached the mark of 12 official matches in 2017, with ten victories and two draws, with 33 goals scored and six conceded.
So far, 12 different players have found the net in the three competitions in which the Mais Querido has competed. The season's top scorer is Paolo Guerrero, with seven goals. Next comes Diego, with five. Éverton, Mancuello, and Leandro Damião have three, and Gabriel, Trauco, and Lucas Paquetá have two. Juan, Berrío, Rômulo, and Willian Arão each have one.
In the last three matches alone, against Fluminense, San Lorenzo-ARG, and Portuguesa-RJ, ten different players have found the net. Against the Tricolor das Laranjeiras, Willian Arão, Éverton, and Guerrero scored. In the match against their Argentine rivals, Diego, Trauco, Rômulo, and Gabriel scored. In the Taça Rio debut, Leandro Damião, Juan, and Lucas Paquetá scored goals.
In the last three games, Rubro-Negro has managed to save free kicks on three occasions. The first, against Fluminense in the Taça Guanabara final, was scored by Guerrero. The second, in the Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone debut, was scored by Diego. In the victory against Portuguesa, in Volta Redonda, Lucas Paquetá hit a beautiful shot in the last minute.
According to a survey by the website Mundo Rubro-Negro, the feat hadn't been achieved since 2000. Against América-RJ, Guarani, and Fluminense, Petkovic found the net from set pieces. On that occasion, the Mais Querido won the games against their Rio rivals and drew with Bugre.
