On Monday afternoon (9), Flamengo officially presented its fourth reinforcement in this transfer window. Ecuadorian striker Gonzalo Plata, who will wear the number 45 shirt, gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and, among other things, revealed that he is inspired by Vinicius Jr. to be successful in Brazilian football. Coming to Flamengo
"I have teammates who played here; I spoke with them a lot when I was about to come to Flamengo. They said the intensity is much higher than at the club I came from. They said they play a lot of games throughout the year, so you have to be in good physical and mental shape to perform well. I watched a lot of videos, seeing Flamengo players in my position, and seeing what I could do to help. I kept watching things to learn and then be able to show them."

"I ran into David Luiz, a singer, and we started talking. He told me I could count on him for anything I needed. Arrascaeta also spoke to me. I'm already feeling more at ease. I know my adaptation will be good. I saw a lot of Vinícius when he was here. "When I spoke with Tite, I knew he was a respected coach, and I'm privileged to be able to play for him. He gave me confidence when I arrived, and on the field, he gave me even more. From then on, I told him where I wanted to play, but the decision is his. Wherever they put me, I'll try to do my best."

Choose Flamengo
"It's one of the biggest clubs. There were other teams interested, but it's very difficult to balance Flamengo against the other teams. I didn't think about it; I wanted to be here, and they did everything they could to make it happen."
