By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's squad returned to Gávea on Monday afternoon to begin preparations for Sunday's derby against Vasco da Gama at Maracanã. Leading Group B of the Taça Rio with seven points, the red-and-black team is fighting to maintain its unbeaten run in the second half of the Campeonato Carioca.
While the starting players did physical training at the club's gym, the rest took to the field for a training session against the youth team. Coach Cuca fielded the following players: Diego; Fierro, Douglas, Thiago Sales, and Egidio; Toró, Jônatas, Ibson, and Everton; Maxi and Obina. The youth team coach, Rogério Lourenço, fielded the following players: Bruno; Rafael, Lucas, Raphael (Henrique), and Jorbison; Lenon (Paulista), Wellington Pecka (Hugo), Juninho (Bernardo), and Guilherme Camacho (Erick Flores); Bruno Paulo and Diego (Vinicius Paquetá). The senior team won 2-0, with goals from Maxi and Obina.
The Flamengo squad returns to work tomorrow morning in Gávea.
