Are holidays synonymous with rest? Not for the Most Beloved! In training held this Friday (14), at Ninho do Urubu, Flamengo continued preparations for the classic against Botafogo, valid for the semifinal stage of the Campeonato Carioca. The red-black technical committee coordinated intense activities in the morning.

The athletes who started last Wednesday's game (12) against Atlético-PR, for the Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone, did specific recovery work at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), while the rest of the group performed intense strength exercises before training on the pitch. Simultaneously, on Field 4 of the CT, goalkeeper coach Vitor Hugo led agility training with the men in the position.
The group proceeded to Field 5, where they warmed up physically and with the ball, including passing practice. Next, it was time for technical training, when the squad split up on the pitch. On one side of the field, the activity focused on offensive movement and finishing, with extensive guidance from coach Zé Ricardo. On the opposite side, assistant coach Cleber dos Santos instructed the remaining players in playmaking training, also involving shots on goal.

Closing activities at Ninho do Urubu this Friday (14), only the players who did not play in the last match, valid for the Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone, and those who entered during the same remained on the pitch. Collective work was commanded on a reduced field, with the athletes divided into two teams of eight.

Aiming for the semi-final of the State Championship, the group will resume training at the CT next Monday (17).
