With 34 points and one game less, the Rubro-Negro from Rio is in third place in the championship and is looking for another victory to stick with the competition leaders.

Before traveling to Salvador, the red-and-black squad held their final training session at Ninho do Urubu. The CRF reported that players Erick Pulgar, with gastroenteritis, and Wesley, with pain in the hamstring of his left thigh, were not included in the match.

Flamengo and Vitória have faced each other 63 times in history, with the Rio de Janeiro team having a clear advantage. They have won 38 times, drawn 15, and lost 10 times. In the last meeting between the teams, in the 2018 Brasileirão, Mengão won 1-0 at Maracanã, with a goal by Diego Ribas.
