Right-back Wesley participated this Tuesday (22) in the program “Resenha do Jogo”, on FlaTV, and spoke about the draw against Corinthians, which guaranteed Flamengo's qualification for the final of the 2024 Copa do Brasil. The number 43 also commented on the great phase he is experiencing with the Manto Sagrado and projected the next confrontation. Check out some excerpts from the interview:

Your numbers
"I have a company that monitors me, and when games are over, they take all my plays and send them to me to watch. The day before games, we have a meeting to see what I can improve. For example, if I have the ball, they show me the passing options, what I did wrong, what I did right, my body positioning. We've been working on this for a while now, and thank God, it's paying off."

About Gerson
"Gerson helps me a lot; he's my daughter's godfather. He was like a father to me when I arrived here. I was just arriving and he hugged me as if I were already part of the group. When I miss a cross in training, he gives me a hard time, but when I get it right, he doesn't say anything. I'm like, 'Wow, he doesn't praise me.' There's nothing to say about him; he helps me a lot on and off the field."

"I want it, I'm anxious. Last year's didn't go down well, I cried like a baby. God willing, we'll be champions."

Filipe Luis
"It was strange, because until last year we played together. But he talked to everyone, and everyone believed in him and ran for him. When I played with him, he would give me tips—he and David Luiz, but Filipe, being a full-back, taught me. I hope to improve a lot with him."
