Mengão took to the field for the 18th round of the Brasileirão and thrashed Juventude 4-0 on Wednesday night (20), at the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília. The Rubro-Negro's goals were scored by Pedro (twice), Everton Ribeiro and Lázaro. The match marked the debut of striker Everton Cebolinha, who provided the assist for the fourth goal.

The game
The match started with a lot of action. In the first attack for the red-and-blacks, Gabi was brought down at the edge of the box, but the referee let play continue. It didn't take long for Mengão to open the scoring. In the fifth minute, after a good exchange of passes on the right, Arrascaeta crossed to the far post and Pedro headed firmly. Goalkeeper César, already in goal, tried to make a save, but the ball went in completely: 1-0.

The Mais Querido continued to be overwhelming and extended the lead in the 12th minute. A good triangle between Rodinei and Everton Ribeiro saw the number 7 cross perfectly for Pedro, who headed the ball again to score his second goal of the match: 2-0.

Mengão continued with a strong rhythm, and in the 17th minute, they scored the third! Gabi received the ball wide on the right wing, pulled it to the left and crossed to Everton Ribeiro's head to increase the red-black advantage: 3-0.

Flamengo had complete control of the game and continued exchanging passes in the attacking half. In the 37th minute, Jadson punched Gabigol in the face and was sent off, leaving Juventude ten men down. With an excellent collective performance, the red-and-black team went into halftime with a large lead.

In the second half, Everton Cebolinha replaced Pedro and made his debut with the Sacred Mantle. In the 8th minute, Flamengo pressed forward, with Gabi attempting two shots. The second time, the ball went just wide of César's left post.

The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) exploited the left flank of the attack, with Cebolinha attempting deep runs. In the 21st minute, the ball fell to Vitinho inside the six-yard box, but the striker shot wide. Vitinho then passed to Cebolinha, who first-timed the ball past Everton Ribeiro. The number 7 shot first-time, but the goalkeeper saved from close range.

In the 40th minute, Mengão scored their fourth goal! Cebolinha, the night's debutant, crossed from the left and Lázaro headed the ball at the near post. The ball hit the crossbar before going in: 4-0. In a great performance at Mané Garrincha, the Rubro-Negro secured an important victory to close in on the top four of the Brasileirão.
