In a lively game, Flamengo beat Santos 3-2 at Vila Belmiro

In the 12th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo beat Santos 3-2 on Sunday night (25), at Vila Belmiro. Cebolinha, Everton Ribeiro and Erick scored the goals in the red-black triumph. Mengão is now in third place in the national competition with 22 points.
The game
The match began with the teams studying each other for the first few minutes. Gradually, the red-and-black team began to get the ball on the ground and exchange passes in the attacking half.
In the 21st minute, Mengão opened the scoring at Vila. Fabrício Bruno crossed into the box and, after a rebound, the ball fell to Cebolinha, who took it first time and put it past João Paulo: 1-0.
Even with the advantage, Santos continued to attack, looking to extend their lead. In the 39th minute, Santos equalized with Mendoza, who burst into the box unmarked to equalize before the end of the first half: 1-1.
Early in the second half, Rubro-Negro scored their second goal. Gerson crossed into the box and Everton Ribeiro headed it into the corner: 2-1.
Santos reacted quickly and tied the match immediately with Rodrigo Fernández, who picked up the rebound inside the area and scored Santos' second goal: 2-2.
The game was electrifying! Mengão wasn't discouraged by the equalizer and scored the third in the 11th minute. Gerson found Erick in the box, the Chilean controlled the ball, and fired a superb shot into the goalkeeper's left corner: 3-2.
In the final stretch, Rubro-Negro knew how to manage the result and left the field with an important victory away from home.
Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Wednesday (28) to face Aucas, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the last round of the Libertadores group stage.
