In the match that took place this Sunday (05) at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, Flamengo lost to Palmeiras by 2 to 1. The match was valid for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship. Early on, the São Paulo team opened the scoring with a shot by Gabriel Jesus. Then, Alan Patrick scored a great goal and equalized the score. However, in a penalty kick, Jean scored the goal that decided the game.

The game
In the first half, Palmeiras opened the scoring early on. Three minutes in, Gabriel Jesus received a header from Tchê Tchê and accurately finished. Two minutes later, Fernandinho made a good run down the left and passed the ball to Alan Patrick. The Flamengo midfielder hit a beautiful shot into the right corner of Fernando Prass's goal, scoring a stunning equalizer.
The game remained evenly balanced in the second half. Chances were created by both teams until, in the 25th minute, César Martins handled the ball inside the box. The referee awarded the penalty and sent off the defender. Jean was precise with his shot, giving the match its final score.
