By Flamengo Archive - inAfter debuting with a victory in the Campeonato Carioca, Flamengo's squad returned to training this Monday afternoon in Gávea. Coach Cuca is already preparing the team for the next challenge in the state championship, Thursday against Bangu in Volta Redonda.
The players who started yesterday's match against Friburguense only did physical exercises at the club's gym. On the field, the rest of the squad participated in a busy training match against Leme, from Rio de Janeiro's third division. The new addition was attacking midfielder Zé Roberto, who showed signs of improving physically.
Giving their opponent no chance, Flamengo won 5-0, with goals from Fabrício, Josiel, Maxi, Sambueza, and Paulo Sérgio. The standout performers for the Gávea team were defender Fabrício, midfielder Jônatas, and Argentine Maxi.
Flamengo faced Leme with: Diego (Marcelo Lomba); Fabricio, Thiago Sales and Douglas (Sambueza); Egidio (Erick Flores), Toró, Jônatas, Zé Roberto and Everton Silva (Fierro); Maxi (Paulo Sérgio) and Josiel (Vandinho).
The special training session that had been scheduled for Monday morning was not held.
