Everything is ready for Mengão's debut in the continent's main competition. Already in Lima, Peru, the red-black squad carried out the last training session, this Monday (4), before the match against Sporting Cristal, which will be played tomorrow (5), at 21:30 pm, at the National Stadium of Lima, for the first round of Group H of the Conmebol Libertadores.

At the Peruvian Federation's training center, Coach Paulo Sousa led a tactical session with the outfield players. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers completed specific training with coach Paulo Grilo. Santos, a recent arrival, trained on the field for the first time.

Athletes Arrascaeta and Isla did not travel to Peru. The Uruguayan returned from international duty with pain in his left ankle, which worsened after the Carioca final. The Chilean full-back also returned from international duty with quadriceps pain. Both remained in Rio de Janeiro undergoing treatment at the training center.

Flamengo and Sporting Cristal have only faced each other twice in their history, with both of them winning by the same score. The friendlies between the teams were played in the 60s:

- 01/02/1964: Sporting Cristal 0x2 Flamengo – National Stadium of Peru (goals by Paulo Alves and Carlos Alberto;

- 17/02/1965: Sporting Cristal 0x2 Flamengo – National Stadium of Peru (goals by Fefeu and Berico).
