It was a remarkable night. Besides the 5-0 thrashing of Chile's Palestino, which added to the score from the first leg to a commanding 10-2 aggregate score, Vinicius Júnior scored for the first time representing the Mais Querido's professional team. The result advanced the Rubro-Negro to the next round of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana.

In celebration, the Boy from the Nest waved to family and friends in the stands at Ilha do Urubu, to whom he dedicated his goal. "My father, my mother, my brothers, my friends. Everyone who loves me came today to support me once again. I was very happy to score my first professional goal. Now it's time to work and focus on the next match."

The goal came just minutes after his introduction. Replacing number 22 Éverton, Vinicius Júnior quickly made his mark. "It was my first touch of the ball. I saw Berrío and Vizeu passing, so I tried to chip it over the top, and when it's meant to happen, God never fails. The ball went, came back to me, and I just pushed it into the net."

Now it's time to celebrate, but with the rest of the work already in mind. "We're going out to eat and celebrate, but we don't have much time because I have training again tomorrow," concluded the young striker.

The red-blacks' attention turns once again to the Brazilian Championship. This Sunday (13), at Independência, Flamengo will face the Atlético-MG team, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
