Early in the evening this Friday (20), the Flamengo squad met for a lecture on communication and the history of Flamengo. Part of the cycle of workshops, the conversation lasted about 40 minutes and addressed topics relevant to the club's daily life.
In the first 20 minutes, the club's management and communications directors discussed the routine of interviews, coverage, and also social media. But the best was yet to come. With professionals from Canal 7 present, the group was introduced to the club's history, values, and identity.
A 10-minute video was shown. First, it covered the founding of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and its immediate connection with the people. It then discussed its early steps in rowing, the emergence of the club's football team, and its evolution to the present day.
Then, the video showed fans talking about their beloved team. In various locations in Rio de Janeiro, from Gávea to Complexo do Alemão, Flamengo fans expressed their love, the values they expect from the players wearing the sacred jersey (grit, dedication, etc.), and the emotion of celebrating a Flamengo goal.
The message of the production was quite clear: Flamengo players never step onto the field alone. Anywhere on the planet, the Flamengo Nation will be present.
This will be the case this Saturday at Serra Dourada, at 18:45 PM, when the team and the fans reunite. Flamengo faces Vila Nova in a friendly match, the first game for the red-and-black team in the 2017 season.
