Flamengo plays its first away match of the Brazilian Championship. In last year's Brasileirão, Flamengo had the following away performance: 19 games, 28 points (7 wins, 7 draws, and 5 losses), 29 goals for and 21 against.

Flamengo played 25 matches in the 2019 season (16 wins, 6 draws, and 3 losses), scoring 50 goals and conceding 21. Bruno Henrique, with 11 goals, and Gabriel, with 10, are the top scorers this year, followed by De Arrascaeta, Everton Ribeiro, Vitinho Diego, and Uribe, all with four each.
