On Saturday afternoon (02), attacking midfielder Éderson received a special visit. The Rubro-Negro athlete met Robertinho, the first coach of his career, at the hotel where the Flamengo squad is staying for tomorrow's game (03), against Corinthians. With the distance that football imposes, the visit served to remember stories, talk and cheer up the pair.

Robertinho, who trained Éderson when the future player was just seven years old, could not express in words the joy he felt.

"It's a great joy to be here. We left Parapuã (SP), a 600km trip, just to see Ederson play live. This guy is fantastic, a boy who has followed the path of good. I couldn't wait for him to come back to Brazil to play. I'm very happy to see him doing well, playing and doing what he loves most. Ederson started with me when he was seven. There's no way to explain the joy I feel; I feel fulfilled by him as a person, especially playing for the team with the biggest fan base in Brazil." 

Éderson was also overcome with emotion. Scorer of the winning goal against Internacional in the last round, the Mais Querido's number 10 made a point of expressing gratitude to his first coach.

"I'm very excited to see him again. I thank him and his whole family for coming to visit me, I'm very grateful. It makes me very happy. I started playing soccer with this guy here, and thanks to him, I started playing soccer when I was seven years old because of him. I have a lot to be thankful for, and I hope to bring a lot of joy to Robertinho and the nation."

Tomorrow, Éderson and the other Mengão players face Corinthians in the Brazilian Championship. Kickoff at 16 p.m. at Arena Corinthians, and the match could put the "Mais Querido" back among the teams that qualified for the Copa Libertadores.
