One of the most experienced players in the Flamengo squad, striker Emerson is eagerly awaiting his first major final for Flamengo. The player says he has always shone in the finals he played in Japan and Qatar, and now he hopes to make a difference on Sunday against Botafogo in the Campeonato Carioca final.

-"In every final I've played in, I've scored. I don't know if that's a star, a lucky break... I don't really like that. If you work hard, do the right things, and are honest, things happen. I respect opinions, but I believe in it."

At 30, Emerson said that the eve of a decision is very different in Brazil.

"It's different and it's great. It motivates me. I think I always have to be better because people are already talking about it. It happens abroad too, but it's very different."
