After this afternoon's tactical training at CT Ninho do Urubu, striker Emerson guaranteed that he will fulfill his contract with the red-black team until the end of 2011. The number 11 said that he is very happy to play for the Clube da Gávea and that he has no intention of leaving.

"I know very little about the negotiations. Few people asked me what I wanted, but I'm here, happy. If I wanted, I could have left three months ago. My contract ends in 2011, and I intend to fulfill it. I was very happy with the fans' reaction. That's it for now. I'm happy here and I've always said my dream was to play for Flamengo."

Emerson said he is focused on helping Flamengo achieve a victory tomorrow against Fluminense in the Copa Sudamericana opener.

"A Fla-Flu is a Fla-Flu, regardless of the competition. We're going in to win, because it's a knockout tournament, and the first game is always very important. We have some absences, but whoever plays will perform."
