In their final training session before traveling to Cuiabá, where they face Vasco on Sunday (June 28.06), the Flamengo squad trained at the Gávea social headquarters. During the training session, the team reconnected with the fans and stepped onto the pitch where Zico, Adílio, Andrade, and so many other Flamengo stars once stood. For one of the athletes on the pitch at José Bastos Padilha Stadium, it was a day of reunion.

Striker Emerson Sheik, in his first stint with the club, trained at Gávea. After his departure, the Mais Querido began to focus its activities at the George Helal Training Center in Vargem Grande. This year, in his second stint with the Rubro-Negro, the number 11 returned to Gávea for the first time on Friday afternoon (June 26.06).

"It was emotional. I think it's natural, it's like a film of everything I experienced here, there were pleasant moments, lots of friends, employees I worked with... Being able to step onto the pitch again and train as a club athlete for the second time is a huge emotion, certainly," he said.
