Emotion filled the air during the presentation of defender Vitão. The first reinforcement announced for the 2026 season, the 25-year-old defender gave a press conference on Friday afternoon (9), at Ninho do Urubu, and even got emotional when remembering his journey to reach Mais Querido. Trajectory
“I came from the interior of Paraná, it was very unlikely to leave there and achieve what I am achieving. I am very happy to leave the countryside, travel the world and today be wearing the shirt of the biggest club in Brazil and one of the biggest in the world (gets emotional). I say this because my father is here. He worked independently, he knows everything we went through. I am very grateful, I will never forget. I send a hug to all the people of Jacarezinho, and to the young people, never give up on your dreams, hold on to God because everything is possible.”
The feeling of wearing the jersey
“The feeling is indescribable. I have no words to describe the happiness I feel. My family is here and knows what I'm talking about. There have been some speculations, but of course I have a lot of respect for the institution where I worked, I left that mostly to my staff. But from the moment Flamengo wants to hire you, it's difficult to think about anything else. But I remained very focused on Inter and on achieving the team's objectives.”
Dispute in the defense
“They are top-level players. Léo Pereira, Léo Ortiz, Danilo, all of them are at the level of the Brazilian National Team. I'm here to help, I know my position at this initial stage, it's normal. I want to learn as much as possible from them. We have many championships, many games... I know I'll have some opportunities, and in those opportunities, I want to seize them in the best way possible.”
