The Engenhão stadium was loaned to Botafogo by the Rio de Janeiro city government, but Flamengo also feels at home at the João Havelange Municipal Stadium. Vagner Love is one of those with fond memories of Engenhão. The "Artilheiro do Amor" (Love's Artilleryman) played his first match for Flamengo at the stadium and got off to a flying start: scoring twice in a 2-1 victory over Bangu. The Flamengo's top scorer this year, with 12 goals, expects to repeat his success against Botafogo next Sunday.

"I debuted there, scored two goals and I hope to repeat the success. Who knows, maybe I can? It would be fantastic. I'm confident and I hope to help Flamengo get another victory in the derby," said the number 9.

To maintain his excellent goal average for Flamengo and help the team secure three more points, Love relies on the support of a very important player: the twelfth.

"A classic is always different, whether at Maracanã or Engenhão, and it will be super important to have the support of the fans, even in a game that is considered an away game," he concluded.

The red-and-black team's record at the stadium is extremely favorable. They've played five matches and won five: 4-0 over América in 2008, 4-0 over Resende, 2-1 over Vitória, and 1-0 over Botafogo in 2009, and 2-1 over Bangu this year. They've scored 13 goals and conceded only two.
