The CRFlamengo U-15 and U-17 futsal teams competed in the third round of the 2009 State Futsal Championship and achieved strong results, despite one team drawing with its opponent. This allowed both teams to climb the standings.

Playing at their opponent's home ground, the red-and-black teams achieved positive results against the Canto do Rio teams. Flamengo's U-15 team managed a 2-2 draw in a very even match characterized by strong marking. The U-17 team created plenty of chances and dominated the game, thrashing their opponents 8-2.

The under-8, under-11 and under-13 categories, which form Flamengo's base, will have a busy weekend.

Next Saturday (26/9), the three teams from Gávea will hold their final training session before the matches against América, valid for the second round of the State Championship classification. The games will be on Sunday (27/9), starting at 9 am, at América's court.
