Minotouro's team visits CEP FLA
Team Nogueira professionals impressed with training center facilities.

This Tuesday (22), professionals from Team Nogueira visited the structure of the Flamengo Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA) at CT George Helal. The physical trainers, Diogo Souza and Rodrigo Babi, followed the work that is being done with Minotouro, commanded by Alex Souto Maior, physical trainer of Flamengo and the athlete, for his next fight, in May, alongside Richardson Moreira, athlete and coordinator of the athletes of Team Nogueira.
"They came to see the structure, observe our work methodology, and also exchange information and experiences. It's very valuable for us to see what a sport of such a high level and with so much international prominence (UFC) does to achieve excellence, which is the focus of CEP FLA," said Daniel Gonçalves, the club's scientific coordinator, who praised the meeting.
"It's the growth of sports science as a whole, even though they are distinct modalities. Sports science is the basis for specific guidelines in each modality. We can take advantage of much of the work done in combat sports with the goal of mental development, strength, and power, to increase the performance level of our athletes," he stated.
CEP FLA had already made an excellent impression in Minotouro, who described the center as one of the most modern in the world.This time, his team was able to assess the Flamengo structure.
"In terms of professionalism, organization, and structure, MMA also has a lot to learn from football. We came to observe a rehabilitation session with Rogério Minotouro and learn more about Flamengo's structure and sectorization. I'm particularly impressed with the professionalism, worthy of the club. I felt at home, and I believe that's essential for our work. What caught my attention the most was the technology and the proposal to have a plan to evolve even further," praised Diogo Souza, physical trainer for Team Nogueira, who also described his experience entering the Bubble 3D. "I liked the technology, and even though it's for a short time, the quality of breathing is impressive. I need one of those in my room (laughs)."
