Performance in the classic
Our team played below its potential; it was a disjointed game. So much so that most of the best moments came from set pieces. It was a very physical game, but we should have held on better, played more, with more possession and presence in the opponent's half to create more chances.
Opponent's tactical scheme
I knew Vasco could play that way (with one more defensive midfielder and one less striker). We lacked a bit of attacking intent, even with their marking. Vasco marked well and sometimes we just cleared the ball away. We should have played a bit more, with more personality. I believe the coach will correct it; it might have been a positioning error. They had more players in midfield. We'll correct it so we don't make the same mistakes on Wednesday.
Fla-Flu
First we have to think about Wednesday's game (against Atlético-MG). We have to correct the mistakes from Sunday so that on Wednesday we can play a better game, win, and then think about Fluminense.
Vasco scores!
We hadn't conceded a goal from a set piece this year. It was a one-off mistake, in the last play of the game. The team was slow to position themselves, they didn't form the defensive line as they should have. We've already seen the replay, we know where we went wrong and what could have been done.
Ball forward
We players are very calm. We know the responsibility we have, what the game was like, and what we could have done differently. We know we can do better, that's the most important thing. We have a clear head to play a good game on Wednesday.
