Rogério Lourenço believes the team has what it takes to secure a place in the semifinals

Calmly, coach Rogério Lourenço demonstrated his complete confidence in the potential of the red-and-black squad in a press conference after the match against Universidad de Chile. Despite the poor result in the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals, the coach emphasized the importance of remembering that there are still 90 minutes to play and assured that the team will do everything possible to qualify.
In the locker room itself, after the game, Rogério spoke to his players and explained that Flamengo is not dead.
"This isn't the time to blame A, B, or C. The responsibility here is everyone's. As long as I'm here, everyone wins and everyone loses. I have full responsibility for the team, and it's obvious everyone is sad. We wanted the win. We're hurt, but we're not dead. It's not over yet, and we talked about it in the locker room," he said.
The coach also highlighted the team's tough journey in the Libertadores and stated that no one will give up on qualifying.
"We're having difficulties, but we're getting through it. There was the issue of the first phase, a difficult series against Corinthians, and we continue to believe. This group will overcome it and seek the result in Chile," said Rogério, who expressed confidence in the team's quality to turn this situation around.
"Flamengo has to focus on organizing itself and preparing in every way to win this match by a two-goal margin. We have to worry about Flamengo, and this group, with the strength it has already demonstrated, has the ability to turn this game around and show that the competition is not over. It's not easy, but it's not impossible," he added.
