Newly signed by Flamengo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho and Thiago Neves received yet another important demonstration of the greatness of the red-and-black club throughout Brazil. The players' arrival in Londrina, where the team is holding its pre-season training, was marked by the euphoria of local fans. A huge crowd packed the airport to welcome the new number 7 and 10 of Gávea.

With shouts of "Ronaldinho has arrived" and singing songs of encouragement for the team, the Flamengo fans celebrated at the airport from the early afternoon. When the plane landed, shortly before 17 pm, the players, president Patricia Amorim, and members of the Flamengo board, such as Michel Levy, vice president of finance, and Luis Augusto Veloso, vice president of football, disembarked on the tarmac.

Everyone boarded a minibus, still on the track, to head to the SM Sports training center, where Ronaldinho and Thiago Neves were to have their first training session wearing Flamengo's jersey. Both went onto the pitch, greeted the coach, and then left.
They did physical work in the gym while the team played a practice match on the field. Not even the heavy rain that fell in Londrina dampened the spirits.
