The goal was celebrated by the red-and-black number 22, in a beautiful play involving defender Réver and center forward Paolo Guerrero, who provided the assist with a superb touch.

"I was very happy. A very fast ball, Guerrero passed it to me, I controlled it with my bad leg, which in this case was my good one, and thank God the ball went in," said Éverton, who celebrated the victory. "In the Copa do Brasil, not conceding a goal at home is very important. Santos has a very good, skilled, technical team. Today's game was very difficult. Our team was calm in the second half. Coach Zé Ricardo said we would have to suffer and score a lot, and fortunately this victory came," he celebrated.

At Ilha do Urubu, the Mais Querido has three wins in three matches.
