As part of the celebrations for the "Steel Thin", midfielder Éverton participated in the conversation with journalists to talk about the match and their friendship. Both athletes were starters in the six-time Brazilian champion team.

"He was annoying, but he was annoying for the good. He really helped us, who were younger, to mature and develop our football skills," Éverton described his friend.
