Shirt number 22 has established himself as one of the most important players in the squad.

It all started in the youth ranks of Paraná. Having achieved early prominence at age 19 in 2007, he was signed by Flamengo the following year. His speed, skill with his left foot, and tenacity were key factors in quickly winning the hearts of the fans. His performances in 2009, when Flamengo won their sixth Brazilian championship, cemented his name in history.
After stints in Mexican and South Korean football, he was signed by Atlético-PR in 2013. He was Flamengo's opponent in the Copa do Brasil final and, despite finishing as runner-up, displayed the kind of football that won over the fans. Not surprisingly, he was signed again in 2014.

Since then, he has increasingly established himself as one of the most important players in the squad. His dynamic style pays off both on the wings, with great speed, and in the middle, with skill and precise touches.
He stands out with decisive goals, such as against Figueirense in the Copa Sudamericana in 2016; against Botafogo in the 2017 Taça Guanabara - a match that marked his 200th appearance for Flamengo -; and against Fluminense in the first leg of the Campeonato Carioca final.
There have been 213 games for Flamengo, with 111 wins. Éverton has already scored 30 goals wearing the jersey – 26 since 2014. Today, he is the team's second-highest scorer. Behind only Paolo Guerrero, who has 33, the number 22 is tied with defender Juan. The first step towards winning the 2017 Carioca Championship was taken with a decisive goal from the number 22.
With Éverton on the field, Flamengo has a points percentage of over 82% in the 2017 season. In the Campeonato Carioca, he shows his versatility. He hit 11 of the 15 shots he attempted on goal and has almost 90,9% accuracy in tackles. He provided 13 passes leading to shots – one of which resulted in a goal by Matheus Sávio against Bangu.
