After completing the regenerative work carried out at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA) on Monday (10), Éverton spoke to reporters in the press room at CT George Helal, in Vargem Grande. The striker commented on the continuation of the Brazilian Championship, highlighting the difficult sequence of games that the leaders will have until the end of the competition. At another point in the interview, the number 22 recalled his debut for Mais Querido, in a Fla-Flu match in 2008.

I think it will be difficult for both teams to win all nine remaining matches. We need to focus on the games ahead, starting with Fluminense. These are very difficult matches, but we will continue to take it one game at a time. Palmeiras may stumble in some matches, so we have to do our part.

We're aware that this is a fierce rivalry between the two teams. Fluminense has been playing well, and we expect a tough match. They have many quality players who can decide a match at any moment. I'm sure our fans will pack Volta Redonda just as they did at Pacaembu, cheering them on the entire way. 

Playing my first match for Flamengo in a derby of this magnitude, at the Maracanã, in front of 80 fans, was a milestone in my life. That's why every Fla-Flus match is always special to me. That match ended 2-2, but I hope we can emerge victorious this time.

Returning to the stadium in this final stretch would be perfect. Our Rio fans must be missing the team. Packing out the Maracanã will be another of Flamengo's strengths in the final stretch of the Brasileirão.
