After two games away from Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo will have a three-match home stretch to fully kickstart the season. The matches will be against Athletico Paranaense, Fortaleza, Corinthians, and Fluminense. Before training this Friday, Everton Ribeiro spoke about the team's chance to play in front of the nation.
"We're a bit inconsistent in away games, and these home games will be good if we do our part to start well and win, staying well in the table until the break. They're important games, and we're strong at home."
The number 7 highlighted the importance of the week the team had to work at Ninho do Urubu.
"We always ask for training and it's been useful for working on finishing, the team, and making mistakes. I'm sure Sunday will be better and we'll improve even more the next day."
Finally, Everton Ribeiro commented on his relationship with Diego and was full of praise for the number 10.
"Everyone knows he's a leader, he never stopped working, he always gave his all and kept at it. A guy who's won what he's won, who has the career he has, he's an excellent professional. And he'll give everything to help us in the games."
