Midfielder talks about Carpegiani's good start to his career and predicts the decision against Boavista

One of the match's standout performers, Everton Ribeiro, spoke to reporters in the mixed zone of Raulino de Oliveira Stadium in Volta Redonda after the final whistle. The midfielder commented on coach Carpegiani's praise at the end of the match, highlighting the team's strong performance and organization throughout most of the derby against Botafogo.

"He said he really enjoyed the game. The intensity from the start. In the second half, we ended up losing our midfield a bit. Then we conceded a goal, but we recovered our style," Everton revealed. "We improve with each game. We need to keep our feet on the ground to keep improving. Congratulations to everyone for the great performance, and next Sunday we have another big challenge," he praised.

The red-and-black number 7 also commented on the day's debutant, center forward Henrique Dourado. Despite their short time working together, an understanding is beginning to develop in the attack, as evidenced by the beautiful goal scored by the 'Ceifador' early in the second half, turning in a pass from Lucas Paquetá after a good play with Diego.

"Given our style of play, with a lot of movement, Dourado fit in very well because he has the presence in the box we need. It's no surprise that he scored a goal today and had more chances. Focusing less on positions and more on the roles each player should play on the field, the tactical scheme implemented by Carpegiani at the start of the season has been pleasing the group. According to Everton, defensive solidarity is one of the key keys to this success.
