The first final of the season will be next Sunday, the 16th, at Mané Garrincha Stadium (DF). The Brazilian Super Cup is back on the calendar, and Flamengo is already on the move in its quest to win the trophy. At a press conference held this morning at the hotel where the delegation is staying in Brasília, midfielder Everton Ribeiro spoke to reporters and discussed his expectations of competing in the tournament.

"It's a privilege to play in this championship final. It's a different start to the season, and one that's already worth a trophy." "I think it's important that this championship is back. Having a final right at the beginning, which gives us extra prestige, is really cool. We're excited. We hope to play a great game and win this trophy for the nation," he says.

Everton Ribeiro highlights that Brasília is a place the club is already familiar with and has many fans, which could be an additional incentive to seek the title.

"It's a place with a lot of Flamengo fans. Every time I come here, the atmosphere is great. We have a winning history here too. I hope Sunday continues that trend and the fans come out and make it a great party," he emphasizes.

The red-black squad trains this Friday afternoon (14), at 17 pm, at CT Brasiliense.
