On Thursday night (13), Flamengo lost to Grêmio 1-0 at Ilha do Urubu. After the match, midfielder Everton Ribeiro spoke to the press in the mixed zone and commented on the result, in addition to analyzing the confrontation against Cruzeiro.
"It was a game of great effort, but we didn't score from the chances we created. We can't forget that we're on a good run of results. Now it's time to get back to work and get back to winning ways as quickly as possible," said Everton.
The Mais Querido's next challenge will be on Sunday (16), when Flamengo travels to Belo Horizonte to face Cruzeiro, at Mineirão, at 16 pm.
"It's a tough game against a great team that's been winning games. It'll be another challenge. I have fond memories of that, but this time it's a new story. I have a huge fondness for everything I experienced at Cruzeiro. I know it'll be a lot of pressure for all of us to play at Mineirão. We have to respect Cruzeiro, but impose our game on equal terms to try to come away with the win. We have a good team. If we want to do more in the championship, we need to look for these victories away from home," said the number 7.
