"It's not what we expected, because it shows we're not doing our job perfectly. We wanted to keep winning, with a schedule we've had since last year," said the midfielder, who sent a message to coach Zé Ricardo during the conversation with reporters. "I couldn't speak to Zé, but he knows the respect all the players have for him. He did an excellent job here. Unfortunately, the results weren't there, and, as Rodrigo (Caetano) said, it ends up falling on the coach," he added.

Regarding Jayme de Almeida, who will lead Flamengo in the match against Palestino, Everton Ribeiro demonstrated complete confidence in his work, speaking about the interim coach's daily participation in the squad's daily work.

"Professor Jayme is already with us every day. He knows Flamengo very well, he knows what it's like to be here. He was a champion with the Manto, and there's no one better to take on this responsibility. He reassured us, corrected some things he thought needed correcting.
