Flamengo completed its preparations for the match against Vitória on Wednesday afternoon at Ninho do Urubu. Ahead of the final training session for the Brasileirão's second-round first-round match, midfielder Everton Ribeiro spoke to the press in a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room.

"It's the start of the second half, and it's very important to come out victorious from this game. There's no room for mistakes now. Let's learn from what happened and not do it again. Let's go for the lead, which is our goal."

"The Brazilian Championship is long, but it's a new season. Mistakes have to be left behind. We have to keep moving forward to stay in the lead," added the number 7.

Everton Ribeiro also asked for attention to the game against a team that, even though it is not fighting for the top of the table, will present difficulties to Mais Querido. 

"These are dangerous games. They might give the impression that it will be easier. The Brazilian championship is always balanced. We have to be alert. We have to score well again, like in the first round. We know what we're capable of."
