After finishing their participation in the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores, Mais Querido returned to work on Friday afternoon (25), at Ninho do Urubu. The focus now is on the duel against Atlético-MG, for the Brazilian Championship. Before the start of activities at the CT, midfielder Everton Ribeiro projected the duel against the Minas Gerais team.
"Atlético is a confident team that has been playing well. It's always difficult. It's a game between the first and second place teams, and it has all the makings of a great match. We hope it will be a good game to watch and that we can come away with the victory."
Flamengo has been coming off a grueling series of matches, but the number 7 player praised the coaching staff's work in maintaining a high level of performance on the field.
"We know that physical fitness is very important in football today, which is why we have excellent professionals at Flamengo. They help us recover as quickly as possible. Even with a demanding schedule, we will do our best to bring home the victory."
The match between Atlético-MG and Flamengo will be this Saturday at 21 PM, at Arena Independência.
