Everton Ribeiro complains about expulsion and refereeing error against Vitória
Shirt 7 ended up receiving a red card for a penalty kick in the 10th minute

The match, however, was marked by a penalty awarded to the opposing team in the 10th minute of the first half, when Everton Ribeiro was sent off under the allegation of having touched the ball with his hand. After the game, the number 7 spoke about the incident and complained about the referee's decision.
"He was very confident. It was a very quick shot that didn't even come close to my hand. I helped him back there, tried to tell him he hadn't taken it, and spoke to the referee behind the goal, who's only there for that, but he didn't see it. I'm outraged, it's disrupting the team, my next game. It was a mistake that disrupts a lot of people. We've worked hard these past two weeks and we could have come away with a better result today," said Everton Ribeiro.
"I saw the video and everyone thought there was no way he could have called that play. My hand was starting to go up, I was trying to protect myself, and there wasn't even time. Unfortunately, he made a mistake, and I hope he can review it and improve in future matches so he doesn't bother anyone. The referee on the touchline said he was absolutely certain he had hit my hand. I told him he was wrong, but it was no use. He should have backtracked. Or we should go to a video referee, because that one isn't up to the task," complained the player.
The next match in the Brazilian Championship will be against América-MG, Saturday (21), 19pm, at Maracanã. Before that, Mais Querido will host Santa Fé, at 21:45pm, on Wednesday, at the same venue.
