Right-back Everton Silva will play his first derby as a starter for Flamengo on Sunday. The player, who has excelled in recent matches, believes Vasco heads into the match with a certain advantage, having posted strong results in the Campeonato Carioca. Even so, Everton Silva praised Flamengo and said a victory would be important to get the fans back on the red-and-black team's side.

"On paper, Flamengo has a better team. The pressure is greater on their side because Vasco is the favorite. If we played poorly against Tigres, a win against Vasco would be enough to have our fans back. But we still owe a lot to our fans, and Vasco is in a better position. But we're doing a great job preparing and I believe we'll arrive ready to put on a great performance. Since it's going to be a closely contested derby, I believe whoever comes out on top will win the match."

Everton Silva revealed a special request made by his mother.

- My mom says, "Score a goal, it's an important game." But she said she won't even watch the game because she gets nervous. It's hard to keep that promise. I hope everything goes well on Sunday and Flamengo wins.
