Everton Silva could get a chance on the team
Praised by Cuca, the right-back should be one of the new additions to the starting lineup for the game against Ivinhema, in the Copa do Brasil.
By Flamengo Archive - inOne of Flamengo's new signings for the 2009 season, right-back Everton Silva arrived at the club without much fanfare, but has gradually been earning his place in the squad. Always training with great enthusiasm, the player was rewarded with a starting spot in this morning's tactical training session.
"I don't know if I've earned my spot yet. Léo Moura has been the starter for a long time, and I'm doing my part. Cuca has been talking to me, asking how I'm doing, and I know I'm growing. That's what I pass on to him. I think I've been delivering on the field, in training, and in games. I still want to help the team a lot. At Flamengo, whoever comes in has to perform well. It's no different for me."
Everton Silva made a point of praising Léo Moura, who trained in midfield in today's activity.
-"Léo Moura is a role model for me. I really like Maicon's football from Inter Milan, but Léo is the best I've ever seen. He has a unique touch and has given me a lot of advice since I arrived here. With his help, I'll grow a lot at Flamengo."
