Expectation of a full house once again

The nation turned out in large numbers at Sabiá Park and Maracanã Stadium. Unconditional support is also expected at Morumbi Stadium.

It's no coincidence that Flamengo's fans are highlighted by all the players as the 12th member of the red-and-black team. Throughout Brazil, the so-called "Red-Black Nation" is present to support its team. The expectation is that, this Wednesday (September 08.09th), fans will turn out in large numbers at Morumbi to face São Paulo at 22 PM.

"I was very happy because the fans filled the Maracanã, singing for the entire 90 minutes, supporting the team, and that's extremely important. We hope they do the same in São Paulo. They always come in large numbers. We saw that at Pacaembu against Corinthians in the Libertadores Cup, and hopefully it will be repeated now at Morumbi," said goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba.

Defender Ronaldo Angelim recalled that, against Cruzeiro in Minas Gerais, the Flamengo fans were even more numerous than those of the home team.

"Flamengo's fans are sensational. In Minas Gerais, our fan base was bigger than Cruzeiro's. Wherever we play, we have representatives, and in large numbers. We know we'll have many Flamengo fans at Morumbi, and that's very important," said the number 4, a sentiment echoed by Juan.

"It's one of the coolest things Flamengo has. In every game, the fans show up. Every time we play there, the fans have turned out in good numbers, and hopefully it will be the same this time too. It's a difficult game there, and their support can make it a little easier," he added.
