Facing Internacional at Beira-Rio is never an easy task. And Flamengo knows this. Coming off a stumble against Avaí at Maracanã, the red-and-black team is aware that it will face a difficult task against Colorado, but despite respecting next Sunday's opponent, it is confident of a good result against the Gauchos.
"We know it's going to be a great game. It's a football classic, Inter has a great team, they're coming off a big win, and it's a game everyone loves to play. We have to be alert and play as equals. We'll respect them, but this is Flamengo, and we're going there to get a good result," said midfielder Correa.
The number 7 believes that Flamengo's performance in away games is worthy of a team that will fight for the top positions in the championship.
"We got one win away from home and one against Botafogo. That's seven points out of nine, which is a good record. We can't forget that. We're getting results away from home, and that's important. The championship is balanced and long, and it's important to score points away from home. We know it's going to be tough, but we're capable of coming back with a win in Porto Alegre," said the midfielder, who also highlighted Internacional's strengths.
"Inter is one of the title contenders and, playing at home, is very strong. These are good games, against direct competitors, who will be fighting for the top spots. We have three days of work to play consistently for the full 90 minutes to come away with the victory," he concluded.
