Experienced coach Luxa considers the draw against Avaí to be normal.

The coach emphasizes that Flamengo faced a determined opponent who fought hard to achieve a draw.

As soon as the game between Flamengo and Avaí ended, all the microphones pointed at the Flamengo players were asking: "What went wrong for Flamengo to concede the equalizer in the second half?". For coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, the answer is simple: Avaí fought, played well, and managed to level the score.

The Flamengo coach also points out that the analysis of the match is only being done in a pejorative way because Flamengo took the lead.

"We gave them space in the second half, and they grew. The result is good. In Brazil, we only see the flaws. Avaí came out very well in the second half. We had a player sent off. But this is a learning experience. You (the press) are forgetting to value Avaí. It was the game of their lives. This is our culture. Avaí deserved to create the result, otherwise we'd only see ghosts. If we were losing and managed a draw at the end of the game, everyone would think it was good. Since it was the opposite, they think it's bad," explained Luxemburgo.

The coach also commented that any mistakes the team may have made in today's match will be resolved internally.

"We made some mistakes today, but we'll resolve them internally. I can't criticize my team. The same team I praised so much in the last game. There's no reason to sacrifice anyone or any sector of the team. If we have to talk or correct something, it will be among ourselves, within the group," concluded Luxa, who sees no problem in assembling the team for the match against Internacional (Willians, with his third yellow card, Léo Moura and David, who were sent off, are out).

"Flamengo has a squad, not a team. For the defense, we have Jean and Ronaldo Angelim. In midfield, we have Maldonado returning, and for the wing, we have this young Galhardo."
