After recreational training this morning in Gávea, captain Fábio Luciano highlighted the responsibility of the red-and-black squad, which has approached matches against smaller teams with the same dedication as in more important games.

"We've approached every game with the same responsibility and respect for our opponents. It's as if we were facing Fluminense, Vasco, and Botafogo. We know that qualification is assured by not stumbling against the so-called small teams, and that's why we take these matches seriously."

The defender made a point of saying that the players are currently focused on the Rio Cup.

"The important thing is to think about one game at a time. There's no point in thinking about Cienciano if we have Madureira and Vasco before us. We always think about winning, and that's how it will be tomorrow. With seriousness and the humility of knowing that the opponent also has qualities."
