Fábio Luciano and Airton cleared to play
Players sent off in the Guanabara Cup semifinal were tried this afternoon at the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice (TJD-RJ). The defender was suspended for one match, which he already served against Cabofriense, and Airton was acquitted by a majority of the court.
By Flamengo Archive - inSent off in the semi-final of the Guanabara Cup, against Resende, defender Fábio Luciano and midfielder Aírton were tried this afternoon at the TJD-RJ, and are cleared to play for the red-black team in the next rounds of the Campeonato Carioca.
The defender was cited under Article 251 (morally offending the referee) and, by majority vote, received a one-match suspension, which he already served against Cabofriense. Aírton, however, was acquitted by majority vote. He had been charged under Article 250 (committing an unfair act) and will not be required to serve any punishment.
