Fabio Luciano praises Joel Santana
For the red-black captain, the coach was very important in the team's start in the Championship.
By Flamengo Archive - inDefender and captain Fábio Luciano is one of the club's key players. Signed midway through the Championship, he was instrumental in the team's improved performance in the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship. However, he makes a point of praising coach Joel Santana's work.
"Joel is very important to the players. He has given everyone at Flamengo peace of mind and confidence. Everyone trusts him. Personally, this is the first time I've worked with him, and I'm very happy for this opportunity."
Flamengo's surge in production has earned the club a spot on FIFA's official website. For the defender, it's recognition of the team's hard work.
"It's important to get Flamengo's name out there. Being mentioned on FIFA's website is really cool and a recognition for all of us players."
Regarding Sunday's clash against América-RN, Fábio Luciano believes it will be a difficult game, even with the northeastern team already relegated.
"We have to be careful and respectful, but we have to be aware of our value. Their team isn't doing well in the Championship, but they're a dangerous team. We have to play well, with tough and disciplined marking."
With a contract until the end of the year, the player has adapted well to the Club and hopes to renew his contract for a few more years.
"I'm very happy at Flamengo. I've already spoken briefly with Kléber Leite and want to stay at the club. We'll wait until the Championship is over to sort everything out, as I don't want to lose focus."
